Organic Hydrosols Organic Hydrosols* are produced from the direct steam distillation of whole plant materials. When essential oils are produced by steam or water distillation not all of the aromatic and healing principles held within the plant are actually captured in the oil. Certain components are hydrophilic, which means they dissolve into water and this becomes a hydrosol. Hydrosols are filled with the water soluble nutrients that were part of the plant's immune system. Hydrosols  contain the beneficial products of essential oils plus more and in a less concentrated, safer form.Besides aromatic chemicals, these distillates also contain many of the plant acids making them skin friendly. With a pH between 5-6 they are great to use as facial toners Hydrosols are a healing anti-inflammatory and mild, but therapeutic antiseptic.
